Early tDCS neurorehabilitation program after stroke
Under the leadership of MatÄ›j Slovák, MD, Ph.D., a pioneering early tDCS neurorehabilitation initiative has been introduced into routine clinical practice for patients with acute ischemic stroke at the Stroke Center of General University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic. Beginning in the first week after stroke onset, patients are treated with Rebox-Physio tDCS over the course of one month, under the supervision of certified physicians, physiotherapists, and speech therapists. This clinical program is designed to enhance functional outcomes through early application of tDCS as part of standard care. While inspired by the findings of Bornheim et al., it is implemented as part of everyday therapeutic practice.
